While many thought one of them would make a permanent addition to the cast, their fate seemed pretty grim. As a result, the last time fans saw Charlie or Jake they were shrinking off into the distance, abandoned with limited provisions on the open water. However, when Strand started to realize that keeping them meant losing control of his yacht, he secretly went down and cut their tether. Travis (Cliff Curtis) came up with the elegant solution of towing them in their raft behind Abigail. Sadly, when they were brought back to the Abigail, Strand (Colman Domingo) was in no mood to pretend that they were in any position to take on two more people. Somehow, Jake managed to stay alive while Charlie foraged for medicine. When Daniel (Rubén Blades) finds her and brings her back with the rest of the away team that was scavenging the wreckage for supplies, she informs him that they have to make a stop first. Later on in the episode, she’s seen back on shore running through the sand to avoid the reanimated corpses of her fellow passengers. In addition to being really gross, it revealed that Charlie had the choice between a living person and the dying boy she made a promise to, and she chose Jake. When Travis (Cliff Curtis) goes to investigate, he discovers the other man from the raft, now a zombie, trapped inside the ship's inner workings. Later on in episode 3, the crew of main characters surviving aboard the luxury yacht Abigail become stalled when something blocks and clogs up their filtration system. However, with one stranger still on the raft and time running out for her companion, Charlie had to make a decisive move. Fortunately, Charlie is a light sleeper and managed to drive a stake of some kind into his stomach before he could finish Jake off. However, when it became clear that Jake’s wounds were life-threatening, one of the men tried to kill him in his sleep to avoid his inevitable turn. There were two men on board who reluctantly agreed to let her and Jake stay. Although he was near death, Charlie made good on her promise to keep him safe and swam with him to a nearby life raft. It turns out that, after the crash, Jake was badly burned along the right side of his body. “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2, episode 3 caught up with the characters from “Flight 462,” Jake (Brendan Meyer) and Charlie (Michelle Ang), to see how their story played out after their plane crashed. Sadly, fans were left on that cliffhanger until Season 2 of “Fear the Walking Dead” finally addressed them in episode 3. When it was all said and done, the plane was crash landing over the ocean and the two main characters, Charlie (Michelle Ang) and Jake (Brendan Meyer), were bracing for the impact. The 16-part storyline took place on a plane as a group of passengers discovered that there was an infected person among them.
